Here's a great idea I wanted to share with you via daughters, Caroline and Clare, and friend, Christine...perhaps it'll keep your out-of-school-for-summer teens busy too!
Make your own custom temporary tatts...
Here's what you'll need:
Tracing Paper & Pencil
Scissors
Simple Line Drawings or Words - the internet is a great source for these
Eyebrow Pencil - any color
Baby Powder
Soft Bristle Brush
Liquid Spray Bandage
Wash Cloth
Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton Puffs
First, find a design you like or draw your own onto tracing paper...
Darken the lines on the BACK of your drawing by going over it again and again with pencil...
Clare found a design online, then enlarged it on her phone...all she did next was to place the tracing paper over her phone and trace away...
Cut out your design...
Prep the skin where you plan on placing your tatt with rubbing alcohol...
Place the tattoo (right side up) onto your skin...use a damp wash cloth to gently rub your design onto your skin...
Press...then peel back the tracing paper...
To reveal a faint outline...
Following the outline, go over your design (and color in) with an eyebrow pencil...
If you're feeling lucky, you could freehand your design...
Next step, sprinkle baby powder over your tattoo...
Gently remove excess powder using a soft bristle make-up or paint brush...
Finally, spray the design with a liquid spray bandage...this is smelly stuff, so use outside and be sure to use eye protection...
There you have it...your tattoos won't rub off and will last 3-4 days...
These Chinese symbol tattoos on their feet held up well - even after a day at the beach!...wonder what the symbols say?...Cruel...Dog...Fart...I'm so proud!...Who says kids don't learn anything over summer...
Thank you Christine, Caroline and Clare for this super fun idea - now go get ready for school!
these tattoos are kinda cool.

Hi! I live in Guatemala so I'm not 100% sure of what spray bandage is... could you just give me a brief explanation of it so I can find the equivalent here?
THANK YOU!

I'll try it, but I have the same problem as IsaLemD92. I live in Barcelona and I had never heard of spray bandage before. It would be very helpful if you could explain what it is.
Thanks!

When I sprayed the new skin onto the drawing it bled (not blood, just runny lines) and turned red, BUT I used sharpie. Thanks for the cool tip though
